| Interpreting/Voice-Over Positions – Global Location |
Interpreters/Narrators
ABLE InnovationsTM seeks bilingual interpreters for both consecutive, simultaneous and narration assignments. We work primarily with interpreters who interpret into their native language and who demonstrate subject matter expertise. Ideal candidates will have significant interpreting experience in a given technical industry and a degree, or equivalent accreditation, in interpretation from a reputable organization or institute.
For Consecutive Interpreting
Since it is the duty of the consecutive interpreter to communicate the speaker's remarks into the other language after the speaker has paused, timing, accuracy and cultural sensitivity are essential. Also required: the ability to establish trust very early in the process.
For Simultaneous Interpreting
Conference interpreting experience is a must. Experience interpreting a speaker's voice without interruption is essential, as is a comfort level working in a sound booth.
For Narration and Voice-Overs
We also have need for voice-over and professional narration talent for audio-video programs, multimedia presentations and telephone scripts. Experience recording target language to match timing of English original is essential. Experience recording concatenated strings a plus.
