The Needs Discovery, On-site Globalization and Globalization Guidance processes can usually be completed in 5 to 10 working days for most companies.  Reports and final presentations are generally completed shortly after the on-site analysis is accomplished.  Our Globalization Consulting teams consist of 2 or 3 consultants, and the overall project is completed in 4 steps.

On-site Globalization Audit  
  • The on-site analysis sessions are intended to gather information from each operational unit that will require globalization, internationalization and localization services.
  • Departments to be interviewed are determined as part of the analysis.
  • ABLE Innovations investigates previous internationalization and localization efforts across all operational areas.
  • We investigate the company's internationalization and localization mission and objectives.
  • ABLE Innovations investigates future localization project needs in each target market.
  • Projects expected to be launched in the next calendar year are defined, measuring frequency of product updates and estimating budgets plus release cycle times.
  • Development environments, practices and tools are analyzed to ensure that there are no barriers to internationalization and localization.

Situational Analysis Reports 
Upon completion of the on-site information gathering, a Localization Situational Analysis Report will be drafted.  This report will outline the internationalization and localization needs for each of the target departments and include a risk analysis for any areas that appear to present challenges to a streamlined and successful effort.

Product Roadmaps 
If you choose to purchase the Globalization Guidance portion of the service, ABLE Innovations will create "product development" and "delivery" roadmaps.  These roadmaps will outline the development and delivery schedule of English source materials, update schedules and release cycles.  This English source materials roadmap would then be modified to include multi-lingual product release schedules, allowing for effective resource capacity planning related to the estimated workload for managing multi-lingual releases, forecasting and budgetary analysis.

Annual Forecasts and Budgets 
Upon completion of the On-site Globalization Audit, Situational Analysis Reports and Product Roadmaps, ABLE Innovations will create anticipated project forecasts and anticipated budgets, allowing your company to make informed and educated decisions regarding total globalization strategies.

These forecast and budget reports will allow your company to proactively see the up-front costs of new projects along with maintenance releases and product update costs per language.  ABLE Innovations' Globalization Consulting team will provide a budgeting methodology that aligns with your product roadmap and release schedules.

Globalization Guidance 
A final report ties all the information together to make a complete operational recommendation.  The report assembles all of the necessary information to outline the overall need of each department involved in the process, develops accurate roadmaps that detail English and multi-lingual product release cycles and gathers accurate budgetary requirements to achieve all of the globalization goals.

The guidance will allow your company to analyze the up-front financial resources and personnel required to achieve your goals prior to execution of an internationalization and localization program.

The final report will also frame all of the issues and barriers to success, highlight the strengths and opportunities and make recommendations on an overall operational strategy.  These recommendations will allow you to make any corrections in the total globalization strategy that make sound business decisions for the company's operational and financial goals.
