September 10th, 2009 - Boston, MA. Kaarina Kvaavik, Co-Owner of ABLE Innovations, LLC (www.ableinnovations.com), a leading provider of language services in over 100 languages, is listed as one of several top-notch speakers sharing their business savvy at an educational networking event for women owned business entrepreneurs, taking place on September 25th, 2009 at Bentley College, MA.
Ms. Kvaavik will be one of thirteen experts participating in the upcoming forum sponsored by the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE). Since 1995, CWE—a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women start and grow their own businesses—has been a leader among women's business development agencies and the collective backbone for over 15,000 + minority businesses throughout New England.
Their upcoming event is confidently entitled “Destination Success” and combines educational discussions and networking to create a multi-faceted day of opportunity for women. In addition to the Social Media dialogue, the event also offers three other panel debates that deal with current business issues (such as the ever-so-controversial stimulus package, financial challenges in today’s economy and employer talent management) and a keynote presentation by one of Chicago’s 25 Women to Watch - Margaret Garner, President & CEO of Broadway Consolidated Companies; who was charged with building Chicago’s first inner city Wal-Mart.
Kaarina Kvaavik, a native of Sweden although based in Boston, and co-owner of a nation-wide translation services firm, has made strides by enlighten businesses on the requirements and initiatives needed to build a strong social media marketing strategy. “Posting occasionally on Twitter or writing blogs for the sake of doing so does not constitute a social media marketing plan.” comments Kvaavik. “I believe that is why so many people are overwhelmed by social media; they just don’t have a real strategy in place. I am personally fascinated by what is happening with this new revolutionary way of marketing and welcome the opportunity of creating an environment for a dialogue with our clients, freely sharing knowledge and information across all borders.” Along with her keen aptitude for ‘digital world’ mediums, she also speaks five languages and possesses an awareness of cultural and social business trends.
Joining Ms. Kvaavik for the morning session are co-panelists Mark O’Toole from the Castle Group, Inc., Jill Avery of The Simmons School of Management and Suzanne Minassian-Livingston, IBM Corporation .
Destination Success kicks off the day with a breakfast networking reception on Friday, September 25th and runs from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm at The Women’s Leadership Institute at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. For more information or to register for this event, visit www.cweonline.org.
