"We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with ABLE Innovations and for the wonderful donation of their skills and time in translating our brochure into Spanish," says HAWC's Director of Development, Nancy Kieran. "They overcame technology issues to create a wonderful piece that will be so helpful in our work."
Backed by over 200 volunteers, HAWC provides services and support to women in 23 cities and towns on Massachusetts' North Shore, including hotline support, court advocacy, support group facilitation, and rental and relocation assistance. The tri-fold brochure translated by ABLE Innovations will provide information to women in the Spanish-speaking community who are being abused by a partner or family member. It will be distributed in hospitals, doctors' offices and other locations where it can be accessed by those in need of help.
ABLE Innovations is certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, a premier advocate of women's business enterprises as suppliers to corporate America. "As a WBENC-endorsed organization, ABLE Innovations is actively committed to charities that benefit women and women's causes," says ABLE co-owner and Chief Business Officer, Kaarina Kvaavik. "By empowering women and their children to achieve a safe, violent-free life, HAWC provides a vital service to the community. We're proud and honored to have supported such a worthy cause."
