  project control

Project Control is where our project manager keeps a finger on the pulse of the initiative. Scope, progress and quality are all monitored.  And with appropriate planning, control and feedback, surprises are kept in check by our Project Manager, who can make the difference between project success and failure.  ABLE Innovations only employs senior, experienced project managers.

The major activities of this phase involve tight control over scope, budget and timeline.  Should any changes to the scope, budget or timeline become necessary, the Project Manager receives formal approval by managment and the client.

The Project Manager will also provide progress reports using the Earned Value Analysis tool which compares performance against the baseline budget and timeline.  Technical performance reports are generated regularly to address outstanding issues with the deliverables and, potentially, the underlying internationalized code base.

Most importantly, quality control over project deliverables takes place, including inspection of work in progress by your reviewers.  Depending on project deliverables, quality control can take on many forms: linguistic reviews, software testing, website testing, trend analysis of performance indicators, etc.

ABLE Innovations' DTS System (client access only) is an invaluable tool during this phase; it is a central location for review teams to securely access and distribute files. E-mail notification of uploads ensures that project stakeholders know what is happening every step of the way during review; and then through delivery during Project Closure.

Major deliverables of Project Control are:
  • Approval of changes.
  • Progress reports.
  • Updates on scope and deliverables.
  • Reporting on technical performance.
  • Forecasts.
  • Rework of non-conforming deliverables.
  • Process improvements.
