Introducing Able Innovations’ New Simulation Lab With Hon. Nina Tangri

Able Innovations is excited to announce the opening of our SimSpace – our simulation and demonstration lab, designed to provide healthcare facilities with the opportunity to evaluate and experience our ALTA Platform® firsthand. This state-of-the-art space offers a real-world demonstration of our easy to use patient transfer solution, allowing facilities to explore how our technology can streamline and enhance patient care.

We were honored to welcome the Associate Minister of Small Business and MPP for Mississauga-Streetsville, the Hon. Nina Tangri, to officially unveil the simulation space. “Ontario is a global hub for life sciences start-ups to innovate, scale up and create good-paying jobs locally,” said Associate Minister of Small Business, Nina Tangri.

“It’s fantastic to see Jayiesh’s and Philip’s strong entrepreneurial spirit, which is helping to make a positive difference in our healthcare system. Our government is committed to supporting med-tech businesses like Able Innovations as they continue to grow and help improve patients’ lives across the province.”

In addition to Nina’s attendance, we were joined by representatives from the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI), Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization (OBIO), and Venture Lab. Scott Dodds, VentureLAB’s Director of External Affairs, expressed, “We’re proud to support Able Innovations—this is precisely the kind of innovative hardware startup that VentureLAB exists to serve, by providing expert advising and access to VentureLAB’s testing equipment. Able Innovations has a product that demonstrably lowers costs to hospitals and improves the patient experience. Further, it’s a privilege to help them show it to the world.”

Able Innovations is proud to collaborate with these key partners and is deeply grateful for their continued support in developing and refining the ALTA Platform into the innovative solution it is. Bibaswan Ghoshal, OBIO’s Senior Director of Technology Adoption, noted, “Over the years, we have closely seen and supported Able Innovations in achieving outstanding milestones, including the procurement of their innovative patient transfer device in Ontario. We are proud to have them as an OBIO member and support them through our Early Adopter Health Network (EAHN™) and other programs, as they strive to make a tangible impact on clinical teams and the lives of patients. We are excited to continue championing them to the Government and support their efforts to scale up.”

Mandhir Kalia, OCI’s Investment Lead supported our mission by expressing, “OCI is always looking to support homegrown innovators in commercializing technologies, which will boost the local economy, encourage innovation & entrepreneurship and create jobs. The success of Able Innovation is a prime example of these investment initiatives and dedicated work ethic of the Able Innovation team.”
